For the past few weeks in Te Ngahere we have been working on Matariki Feather
art, there were 3 designs to choose from along with a blank one. I chose the one
with the least detail so it didn't take up all my time, I used a wide range of bright
colors, it took me about a day and a bit. After I had done that one I asked if I could
do another one because I really enjoyed doing the first one. The next one I chose
was a nice smooth shape with a few more designs than the last one. I made that
one a separated rainbow, doing that took about the same amount of time as the
first. After I had finished that one I moved onto my third, I chose the one with the
most detail out of the lot, the colors I used were gold, black and silver, I think that
it was my favorite feather out of all of them. Once I had done all of them I was told
I had to double layer them, so I did that, which took quite long, but I still really
enjoyed making the feathers.
