Arms & Legs Everywhere

Yesterday in class we were learning to use our maths eyes in our
everyday life . We did this by looking at a picture of 12 gingerbread
people and writing down what we could see in the picture, here is what
my buddy and I saw using our maths eyes. All these gingerbread
men/woman have 2 m&m’s which are used as buttons, Each
gingerbread person has what we think is chocolate as a hat and shoes,
Each gingerbread person is lined in an array of 4x3/3x4, There are
48 limbs, 24 buttons(the m&ms), 12 hats and 24 shoes  all together.

What I found hard about this was when the teacher said
“Do you notice anything” I was trying to look for a pattern.
What I found easy about this was after I figured out that I didn’t have
to make a pattern I started noticing lots of stuff. What I think could do
better next time is if I need help I should ask.

For this activity we had to make a list of things we would need to bring to our chosen country. Then we had to put stars (*)  beside the most important thing that we HAD t bring.

For this activity we got to design our own airline, mine is called Autumn's Airlines because I just think it sounds really cool & I love the logo!

Stay safe while flying

For this activity we had to watch 2 saftey videos about flying on an airplane, we then had to pick 3 things to do to stay safe while flying & write the explanation.

Weather in Australia

For this activity we had to go onto this site that the teachers had linked for us and check the weather of a weeks forcast for the country that we had chosen, I choose Australia.

Technology

On Wednesday last week the year 7’s and 8’s went to technology at Morewa
School. I was doing woodwork. The time before we had made the molds for our
necklaces but this time we melted the Puter (some sort of metal) and made it
look nice and shiny. Most people had to restart because it was too big, mine
was the first to be done because mine was quite small. It took quite a long time
to make it look nice, we had to do about 4 things but they took about an hour
each to do (It actually ended up looking really shiny). Next time we go to
technology we are going to make the holes on the necklaces, put the string on
and start our new project. What I could do better next time is when something
doesn't work i could ask for help.

Terrific Tips To Help Your Learning!

In Te Ngahere we made something called a Digital Dig. We had to explain how
to use chromebooks, what the keyboard shortcuts are & other things that relate
to that topic. I found this Digital Dig quite fun & a little bit challenging to do.
When I needed help I didn’t ask so it took a while to get it  finished. Next time I
do something like this if I don’t know what to do I will ask someone for help
instead of doing nothing. What I learnt from doing this Digital Dig was a new
keyboard shortcut, which was how to see all keyboard shortcuts, you do it by
pressing Ctrl + Alt + / (Forward Slash).
