  1. Kia Ora Autumn,

I’m Dani, one of the blog commenters for the Kaikohekohe cluster of the Summer Learning Journey. It’s awesome to see that you have been blogging over the holiday break! I can’t wait to read more of your blog posts soon.

Neil Armstrong is an interesting person to have on the New Zealand $10 note. He is well known for being the first person to ever walk on the moon. The United States of America were very proud that one of their own made it to the moon before any other country. Can you think of a New Zealander you think should be on the $10 note? I think Richie Mcaw should be considered as he is a famous rugby player who has contributed quite a bit to New Zealand.

    Keep the blogging up!

    Blog ya later,

    Dani

  2. Kia ora Autumn! How are you today? Olive here from the Summer Learning Journey! The weather's awful today! Grey grey skies. Where's the sunshine gone!

Neil Armstrong is a fantastic person - wasn't it cool he was the first man to walk on the moon. Do you think an American man should go on the NZ $10 note, or the American $10 note? I know everyone has different opinions. Countries have something called nation-pride: when people from different countries are very proud of their national achievements. For example, when the All Blacks smash the rugby games! Successes like this are probably why many bank notes have people from their own country on them. I'm super proud to be a New Zealander and I love seeing our fellow Kiwis succeed in sport and other important areas!

Remember the Summer Learning Journey ends next week Friday 24th January! Keep blogging and being absolutely fantastic with all your hard work!

    Ngā mihi,
    Olive
